Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer

Research in the thermo-fluids area covers a broad spectrum of topics in aerodynamics, turbulence and turbulence modeling, atmospheric-related flows, low-Reynolds-number hydrodynamics, multi-phase and reacting flows. In Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer Lab, we use a synergistic combination of numerical modeling and experimental work to gain insight into the complex engineering and environmental systems and to develop advanced predictive tools for use in interdisciplinary applications.
